Michael Greville

Experienced trainer Michael founded RunHideSurvive’s™ parent company, Salvas, in 2009, building on skills honed over 30 years in the police force.

His police career saw him dealing with terrorist incidents and explosive-device situations; joint working with military and other agencies; and undertaking the Battlefield Advanced Trauma Life Support programme (BATLS). He has worked and studied at home and abroad with leading experts in teaching terror-attack survival skills.
Attachments to United States law-enforcement agencies broadened his insights into different approaches to policing. As a trainer, he helped to create an award-winning , personal-safety training programme for police personnel.
Michael brings a passion for training clients from all walks of life in personal safety at work; workplace violence reduction; conflict resolution; physical interventions skills; and terrorist-attack survival.

George Kerr

Drawing on specialist army and police service, George has over 20 years’ experience as a trainer and consultant in the private security sector, both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

Following nine years in the army, George began a 20-year career with the Metropolitan Police, and underwent fire-arms training. Police work included providing armed close protection; specialist security at London Heathrow Airport; and training fellow officers in personal safety trainer.

More recent civilian roles include leading a close protection team in Bosnia, and carrying out close protection duties in Iraq with the Japanese defence forces. Within the UK, George provides specialist close-protection and hostile-environment training to a diverse range of companies.

Andy Ronald MBChB FRCA FFICM

Andy has been a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care since 1994. His expertise includes emergency planning; major-incident management; and pre-hospital emergency care.

An instructor with the British Association of Intermediate Care (BASICS), he trains doctors, nurses and paramedics across Scotland, and also chairs the Grampian Intermediate Care Scheme.

Andy is also involved in developing advanced pre-hospital trauma and critical care services in North-East Scotland.

He brings over 30 years of extensive medical experience, combined with his skills as a trainer and instructor, to RunHideSurvive™

John Cook

An instructor with the US Department of State’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA) programme,John has conducted training in numerous locations in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

He recently retired from the police service in Florida, where he was the tactical commander for his agency’s emergency operations group.

His police career also saw him assigned to the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force; and he remains a firearms instructor for the Bureau.

John’s involvement with Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) spans more than three decades. He was called on to deliver training for the Federal Air Marshal programme in the wake of the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

In addition to his ATA work, he trains personnel across the USA on courses in tactical operations, VIP protection, hostage rescue, and officer survival.

John played a major advisory role in shaping RunHideSurvive™.

Craig Borthwick

Craig has been professionally involved in numerous specialist aspects of security and safety throughout his 26 year police career in counter-terror operations, surveillance, specialist firearms response, intelligence and public order.

He delivers hands-on, relevant specialist training to professional operatives thru’ to volunteer lay persons covering topics as diverse as ballistic and blast trauma and natural disaster rescue and recovery.

A safety and risk reduction professional with over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry with one of the worlds leading oil and gas companies.
